Dreams are for Rookies {Kansas City Band Photography}
It’s no secret that I love music! I consider myself quite the music nerd, I listen to just about anything. Anything that is, that sounds genuine. That is my one requirement for music, it has to sound like they really mean it. Not like they needed to start a band, and that’s how they thought it should sound, but they needed to start a band, and that is just how it sounds. That may only make sense to me, but here I am, sharing it with the internet. So last week, I headed down to the Riot Room with my friend Deb, of Influential Expressions (she is fabulous btw, does just about anything and everything social media related….but I digress). Deb coordinates media for the band Dreams are for Rookies, the headlining band that night, and she asked me to take some photos of the guys in action. The music was a total bonus! Anytime you can combine cello, harmonica and awesome into music, I’m so there! They had such great energy, and it was so much fun! I must admit, I don’t get to hear a lot of local music being as busy as I am, but I think I need to hear more! So anyway, enough of what I think, on to the pictures!

Brett {Rock Star Two-Year-Old}
Last week I got the chance to photograph Brett and his awesome big sister Ella for Brett’s second birthday. We had a blast hanging out in the Crossroads and Unity Village. Both places provided some fabulous backdrops! Can I just say, I LOVE shooting on location!!! These two kids were so adorable, and their mom totally rocks! It was such a pleasure to capture this fun time in their lives! Thanks for being so cool!!!

Casey & Pete Sneek Peek!
Pete has a wonderful girlfriend Tracie who signed him up for our Pet Special last week! I met Tracie, Pete and his adorable Golden Retriever, Casey at the South Lake Park in Kansas for this fun photo session! Casey is 12 years old and absolutely beautiful! Check out this hotness!
Kayte got married last May and wanted to trash her dress! We met up at a secret location (okay, a small unassuming park with a cool hidden away creek), and she totally rocked this shoot! Kayte braved the water and the heat for some stunning images with her wedding gown! The results are fabulous, and she looks so hot! Thank you so much Kayte for everything!

I Heart Kansas City…..
….because today was so much fun! The kiddo and I hit up the Brookside Farmers Market, Kansas City’s all-organic farmer’s market! Totally had a blast. I bought lamb for the first time, and I will be making Gyro burgers tomorrow night, thanks to the folks at Green Dirt Farms (who have the CUTEST logo ever)! Then, because we just needed more fruit, the kid and I drug the hubby to the City Market for some more fun, and I brought my camera this time! Here’s a few snaps from the City Market! We will definitly be back next week!
They’re bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy

New Model Program!
I am introducing a model program that I will run through the month of April. This is to help me build a new portfolio, as I have spent the last two years working for another photographer and haven’t shot much of my own stuff. So, if you are needing some family, senior or children’s portraits, or know anyone who needs them but may not be able to afford them, PLEASE send them my way! I would also love to work with current or aspiring models/actors to help build their books as well. In addition I will be willing to discount 1-2 wedding packages for some smaller weddings in the KC area. Just give me a call or send me an email, and I would love to talk to you about these awesome opportunities!
