Dreams are for Rookies {Kansas City Band Photography}
It’s no secret that I love music! I consider myself quite the music nerd, I listen to just about anything. Anything that is, that sounds genuine. That is my one requirement for music, it has to sound like they really mean it. Not like they needed to start a band, and that’s how they thought it should sound, but they needed to start a band, and that is just how it sounds. That may only make sense to me, but here I am, sharing it with the internet. So last week, I headed down to the Riot Room with my friend Deb, of Influential Expressions (she is fabulous btw, does just about anything and everything social media related….but I digress). Deb coordinates media for the band Dreams are for Rookies, the headlining band that night, and she asked me to take some photos of the guys in action. The music was a total bonus! Anytime you can combine cello, harmonica and awesome into music, I’m so there! They had such great energy, and it was so much fun! I must admit, I don’t get to hear a lot of local music being as busy as I am, but I think I need to hear more! So anyway, enough of what I think, on to the pictures!

Brett {Rock Star Two-Year-Old}
Last week I got the chance to photograph Brett and his awesome big sister Ella for Brett’s second birthday. We had a blast hanging out in the Crossroads and Unity Village. Both places provided some fabulous backdrops! Can I just say, I LOVE shooting on location!!! These two kids were so adorable, and their mom totally rocks! It was such a pleasure to capture this fun time in their lives! Thanks for being so cool!!!

Dan & Shawna {Engaged!}
Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing Dan and Shawna, a fabulous couple who never stopped making me laugh! Dan proposed to Shawna with a Gummy Lifesaver, which was the cutest thing I have ever heard of! Check out his story about it here. (Hope he doesn’t kill me for that.) They were so much fun to photograph, and their love of comics and craziness was awesome! Thanks for being you and letting me capture it!
Bella Turns Five! {My Baby’s Rock Star Kids Session}
Well, technically, she turned five in December, but we finally got a chance to do her photoshoot the other day! We’ve been waiting and waiting for the weather to be nice to us, and it finally happened. YAY! While visiting my mom in Springfield, and before another photoshoot, I actually had some time to shoot my own kid! sIt is so crazy that this is my baby. She is getting so big, and she is so grown up! It is becoming obvious she is really learning her way around a photoshoot. During the whole hour and a half I we were shooting, she was making up her own poses and coming up with her own shots! She’s becoming quite the little model and stylist, as she has definate ideas about what she was going to wear. I better shut up now, before I get all teary eyed and cry all over my laptop!
Check out our Kids Rock Star session if you want to remember your child’s fun years in a fabulous way!
Evelynn Jane! {Rock Star Baby Session}

Emily Got Trashed!
Okay, I know I can’t keep saying that….it’s starting to lose it’s funny. BUT…..check out these AMAZING images! When I called Emily to set up her shoot, she said her and her husband love classic cars, and she wanted to shoot at a junkyard! We both knew of the most awesome place to go, Lorenz Auto in Corder, MO. We were both so excited and had an amazing time! Laura came along as my assistant and even shot a few images herself! Emily was such a trooper! We shot for over 2 hours and captured some fabulous stuff! Thanks Emily for bringing the Hot-ness!
Melissa got Trashed!
Not that kind of trashed silly! Check out the latest Trash session! The beautiful Melissa and I headed down to the fountain in front of Union Station for the first of my test TTD sessions! While we did get kicked out of the fountatin eventually, we managed to capture quite a few beautiful images first! After we got kicked out, we headed over to the Crown Center fountain because we just weren’t finished yet! We were eventually joined by two cute kiddos, one of whom asked me if Melissa was famous. She may not have been yesterday, but we are totally in the KC STAR this morning! Check that out, as well as the results from the session! Want some sweet portraits like Melissa? Give me a call or email me for details! Sessions start at $49!
